A living kidney donor can give him the gift of life

Carlitos needs a Hero! 🤍

Meet Carlitos

Carlos Torres Alvarado is 1 year old and was born with end-stage kidney disease (ESRD). During pregnancy, a blockage called posterior urethral valves prevented him from being able to pee in the womb, which caused irreversible damage to his kidneys. He has been on dialysis since he was just 3 months old. This baby is a true fighter, full of love and resilience. Despite facing health challenges at such a young age, he continues to smile, inspire, and bring joy to everyone around him. His strength, bravery, and pure heart show the world what it means to never give up. Surrounded by love and support, he shines brightly and reminds us daily of the beauty of hope, courage, and the incredible spirit of childhood.🫶🏼

Carlitos loves exploring the world through play and imagination. He enjoys reading books and listening to bedtime stories from mommy, which make him feel safe and happy. His favorite companion is a big cuddly puppy he sleeps with every night. Music makes him shine—he plays his piano, drums, and DJ table with joy. He also loves balls, especially basketball and baseball, and mommy, a big sports fan, has faith he’ll grow up to be a future baseball all-star.
⚾️✨
For Carlitos to grow, thrive and live a healthy life, he urgently needs a kidney transplant. He is waiting and praying everyday for a kidney donor who can be his hero!!!
